Success Story

Wilfred is a resident at Maravilla who had a stroke in July. Quick response by the nursing staff has allowed him to receive treatment that minimize the severity of the stroke. After returning from the hospital he had difficulty with weakness, balance, walking, swallowing, ADL’s, as well as increased confusion. He received Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to work on his deficits for 6 weeks. He continues with some slight weakness but is able to do almost everything he could before his stroke. Wilfred is back to watching the weather channel and spending time outside.
