Success Story: Frank

Frank came to Maravilla for a short rehab stay after being hospitalized for respiratory failure, COPD and dementia. He came to Maravilla with weakness, oxygen dependence, new onset of dysphagia, falls, and increased confusion and difficulty with ADL’s. He had previously lived with family and was generally independent in caring for himself. Frank received Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy during his one month stay. His endurance improved and his falls decreased. He was able to return to his previous diet. His confusion improved and he was able to use the bathroom and get dressed with minimal assistance. He was discharged to assisted living with his daughter. We are very proud of Frank and admire his hard work and perseverance.
